Is there anything more American than bacon? My semester in London quickly taught me that all breakfasts are not created equal. Ordering my favorite meal in the UK was typically followed with a quick “hold the beans, please.” However minor a culture shock this may have been, I thought about how food differed culturally in a whole new light. So when I sat down to illustrate something quintessentially “American” for my graphic design class’s stamp project, breakfast foods seemed like an obvious choice.
